Highly-regarded international bank/investor seeks two immediate hires with 0-5 years of experience, ideally with exposure to financial statement analysis, banking and/or credit, possibly with an energy focus, to fill needs on their Energy Risk Management team. Naturally, the bar will be higher in terms of experience for candidates with more years of overall experience. The selected individuals will conduct credit analysis and due diligence for new and existing borrowers and counterparties, provide recommendations for or against them, set risk and lending limits, and monitor the exposure in the portfolio on an ongoing basis. There will be exposure to advisory, capital markets and principal investments, fund entities and corporate and asset-based financings; in short, you will see a wide variety of transactions, at varied levels of the capital structure. Those individuals with greater relative experience with credit will be staffed on more complex financings immediately, where lesser experienced analysts will be introduced to more esoteric structures over time. Successful hires will have a passion for energy as a potential career focus. A small team environment will ensure exposure to most energy transactions at the firm, which has a very strong reputation and focus on this industry vertical, and hires will work with junior and senior bankers alike. Candidates MUST have graduated from a highly-regarded school, ideally with cum laude level grades, with a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Engineering. Candidates must be self-starting, possess a high degree of ownership of their work product, and have a strong analytical mindset, as well as be team-oriented, driven, and with a distinct record of personal achievement.
