The commercial developer identifies and executes advance biofuels-related term offtake agreements and commercial transactions.

Your role will support the Products Supply and Trading (PSAT) organization. PSAT manages global supply, trading and logistics for a wide range of products, including feedstocks, fuels, and refined products like gasoline, naphtha, diesel, jet fuel, heavy fuels, biofuels, coke, sulfur, ammonia and asphalt, and other products for the manufacturing and marketing network.

Key responsibilities for Commercial Developer include:

  • Identifies and executes advanced biofuels-related term offtake agreements and commercial transactions
  • Develops a deep understanding of market dynamics, value chain, logistics, pricing
  • Builds relationships with new and existing counterparties
  • Communicates opportunity justification and risks to leadership for approvals
  • Submits bids and/or reaches agreement on commercial terms
  • Completes due diligence on new opportunities
  • Leads contract development, negotiation and execution
  • Engages with Strategy and Business Development teams to ensure alignment & understanding

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in the Oil & Gas, Agriculture or Environmental Credit industry
  • Origin/business development experience
  • Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Digital mindset and innovative thinker
  • Believe in getting results the right way
  • Passion to grow in the trading organization

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical bachelor's degree, MBA
  • Experience entering into/developing new markets
  • Term commodity contract negotiations experience
