Overview


This Natural Gasoline & NGL Scheduling position will be responsible for commercial scheduling of Natural Gasoline/NGLs , providing visibility on Natural Gasoline/NGL movements (ie vessel, pipe, rail, truck) and ensuring appropriate processing can be accommodated. This position can be located in either Findlay, OH or San Antonio, TX. The candidate will enhance overall commercial acumen by handling operations and engaging in various scheduling roles, including: frac plants, refineries, various caverns, and facilities, system-wide. Modes of distribution used to execute the scheduling plan include: ship, barge, pipeline, rail, and truck.. The candidate will have direct interaction with a wide array of organizations within MPC, ANDX, MPLX and conduct business with pipelines, terminals, trading companies and other external partners. The applicant is required to be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, team oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.


Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Nominates Natural Gasoline/NGL movements to support refinery needs and customer obligations.
  • Schedules movements via various distribution channels through use of propriety and third-party scheduling systems.
  • Monitors overall on a daily basis to ensure that inventory projections are adequate to facilitate projected production/consumption rates
  • Responds to unexpected events making contingency arrangements to minimize disruption of product supply.
  • Ensures relevant data is captured accurately and recorded.
  • Identifies and communicates commercial/operational opportunities.
  • Works with key stakeholders to ensure operations are within compliance
  • Focuses continuously on increasing transportation efficiency while minimizing per barrel transportation costs.
  • Works with customers and suppliers to maintain contractual obligations are fulfilled
  • Communicates and verifies planned movements as well as status with traders, transportation counterparties, external counterparties, producers, marketers, terminals, vessels, and pipelines.
  • Establishes and sustains industry relationships pertaining to supply, transportation, and logistical issues.
  • Provides timely and accurate inventory position information to traders.
  • Point of contact to other departments for scheduling clarification or issues.
