Senior Account & Business Development Role - Energy

3+ years strong account management 70% and new business development 30% experience | Target Energy, Petrochemical, LPG, Crude, Oil & Gas market (Must) | Experience in Data, Research & Analytics / Market Data/ Price Reporting/ Price Assessments & Consulting products (Must) | Cover APAC market

Our client, a global financial technology vendor with a strong reputation in the commodities & energy space, is looking to hire a Strong Account & Business Development professional focusing on the APAC region. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the revenue growth by managing the existing key accounts and developing the growth strategy for new business across the APAC clients


You will be involved in activities such as:

  • Meeting and exceeding revenue quota through the management and execution of existing customer accounts and new prospects
  • Retention of existing Key Account’s book of business whilst maximizing customer penetration in terms of depth
  • Mitigate cancellations/ downgrades by continual value deliverance
  • Contribute to overall APAC region’s sales and strategy & realize overall sales and strategic objectives for the region


You will possess:

  • 3+ years of successful Account & Business Development experience
  • Experience in managing Energy, Petrochemical, LPG, Crude, Oil & Gas in APAC Key Accounts (Must)
  • Prior experience in commodity, financial information or software technology provider accounts
  • Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience
  • Broad understanding of the energy & commodity industry including understanding the personas of front, mid and back office functions, as well as analysts is preferred
  • Ability to travel around the region
