This position will be part of the Freight analytics team working globally and regionally in close collaboration with a diverse and global group of around 100 researchers, engineers, data scientists, analysts and economists in Cargill.
The group is responsible of supporting trading decisions working closely with commercial and asset managers both in Geneva and in different locations of the world.
What is this position about:
We Conduct Complex Market Research requiring a deep understanding of the freight market drivers
Independently conducting analysis of bulk commodities, trade flows, vessels supply dynamic, using both internal and external industry network and keeping track of macroeconomic trends, you will contribute to assess the impact on dry freight markets.
We Develop Models for decision making
You will build forecasting models and explore new techniques and new ways of looking at market analysis.
Maintaining and updating existing models and indicators and leading their development, you will connect and engage with relevant traders to impact trading strategies.
Based on fundamental and non-fundamental data and inputs, the analyst Team advocates for trading positions both with local traders and global Desk heads.
You will guarantee all partners across multiple regions a transparent and effective access to all live information via the Supply and Demand systems.
