Currently seeking a qualified Traffic Coordinator

West Plains LLC is a part of BioUrja Group and we are an agricultural commodity trading business specializing in warehouse operation, risk management, and transportation with a focus on creating value for the company s producers and consumers. Our customers depend on us to provide market insight, risk management, and logistics support. We are federally licensed and bonded warehousemen that trade whole grains, feed ingredients, freight, and other commodities within North America. We are headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska and have twenty-five locations spread across six states. The company controls nearly 20 million bushels of elevator space though ownership or lease agreements.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Coordinator in our Omaha, NE location. In this role you will coordinate and handle the Rail, Barge and Vessel activities of all imports and export shipments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle the billing of unit trains and single cars for the company.
  • Oversee the billing.
  • Car management.
  • Review all Car Demurrage claims.
  • Review all Private Car maintenance bills.
  • Route tracking.
  • Car Hire invoicing.
  • Coordinate all Leases on private cars.
  • Build and Centralize Rail Rate Spreadsheet for company to be used by merchandising team.
  • Provide updates on Rail rate changes and Fuel Surcharge Changes.
  • Provide daily updates on trains and single car movements to merchandisers.
  • Review rail car routing for best options.
  • Billing of Barges and all other aspects of barge movement.
  • Oversee billing of Vessels out of Port of Brownsville and all accounting as it relates to the process.
  • Develop relationship with the accounting and billing teams at the specific railroads.
  • Assist and answer customer inquiries and other related customer service functions.
  • Produce and present activity reports as required by customers or management team.
  • Data Entry.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of Imports and Export operations.
  • PC software Application skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse operation
  • Excellent customer service skill
  • Zero to Five years industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
